Customer Review: Great for walnuts and brazil nuts, otherwise avoid

My wife purchased this nut cracker a couple of years ago, so we have experience with it, and it is not good. It appears to be designed by a male who's never been in a kitchen, like so many other inferior kitchen products. This cracker, while great at cracking open large nuts such as walnuts and brazil nuts, is absolutely worthless when it comes to small nuts like almonds or hazelnuts. With any small nut, you will find yourself having to search for the widest part of the nut to crack at the very "top" of the cracker. It will try and push the nut "down" (toward the wider part of the cracker) when it can't grip the small nut properly. You can spend 30 seconds just trying to position a hazelnut or almond in this thing before you can finally get it to cooperate. For this reason, I find this cracker worthless.
