This Wire Cheese Slicer for Rosle is a substantial implement, made of 18/10 stainless steel. It will slice cheese in either 4mm or 5mm thick slices. It is 10.5 inches (26.5 cm) long in total, from the hanging hook to the prongs for picking up your cheese slices. The wire slicer is 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) long. The tension of the wire is easily adjustable with a knob near the top of the slicer, and you can buy replacement wires. It's a handsome tool. The pronged end can be useful, but some people may find it an unnecessary addition of length. If the prongs bother you, you might want to try the WMF cheese slicer, which is not quite as sleek but has no prongs.
This is the nicest wire cheese slicer I've used. The tension is just right, so it slices through relatively soft cheeses like a dream, making perfect, uniform slices. And it feels great in the hand. It will slice cheeses up to 4 inches wide and is much easier and consistent to use than a knife. Some people report that the wire breaks on hard cheeses, but this will happen with any wire cheese slicer. It goes without saying that a wire slicer cannot be used on Parmigiano-Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, or anything equally dense. It's for sliceable cheeses. It makes easy work of them, and both the slices and your Rosle slicer will look great on your table.

This wire cheese slicer features two wires that run along the sides, each one fixed at a different distance from the central rod so that soft cheeses can be sliced in different thickness. The prong at the tip facilitates easy lifting up and serving. Like all Rosle Tools, this one is made by a team of engineers and artisans who combine the best of both worlds spending days, months or sometimes years developing and designing each of their tools to exacting standards and specifications.One of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 9.8-inch cheese slicer has two replaceable wires set at different distances from the center post, permitting 4-1/4-inch-wide slices of different thickness. Prongs on the end allow users to pick up and serve slices. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks.
